SIUC ASCE has been a proud supporter of our civil design teams. The Concrete Canoe and Steel Bridge teams both design and fabricate their projects in-house and by hand, allowing for members to get experience with design and construction. These projects are then compared to other universities across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

ASCE contains over 150,000 members throughout the world, resulting in an expansive and diverse network that can help you accomplish any goal. SIU’s student chapter also has a long history of alumni, which have built up a supportive ecosystem to help get your foot in the door wherever you choose to go.<\/p>\n

Our chapter holds weekly meetings, with varying topics and activities. From career development workshops to presentations given by working professionals, we will work our hardest to help you become the best that you can be.<\/p>\n

Meeting schedule<\/h2>\n

Our weekly meetings occur on Tuesdays throughout the semester at 6 pm. Most chapter meetings are held in the Alumni Lounge of Engineering Building A (Room 136A), while design meetings for our teams are held in their respective shops.<\/p>\n
