The American Society of Civil Engineers is an international professional organization focused on furthering the profession of civil engineering as well as supporting its members throughout their careers. ASCE has played an integral part in US infrastructure advancements and is currently leading the charge in sustainable development. With a nationwide reach across every field of civil engineering, ASCE has a spot for any and all future and current engineer.

SIU’s student chapter of ASCE has deep and expansive roots, reaching across the country into many differing engineering fields. This wide network of working professionals, along with the current chapter members, can open the door for a number of opportunities for new engineering students. Our chapter hosts events every week, ranging from professional development workshops to community service events. We meet on Tuesdays at 6 pm in the Alumni Lounge of Engineering Building A.
